CD Projekt RED teases Cyberpunk 2077 Xbox Series X version | S, live stream tomorrow
One of the best ways to experience CD Projekt RED’s highly ambitious sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 is on a current-gen console like the Xbox Series X|S, but the game still doesn’t take full advantage of the powerful hardware on offer. . An update to optimize Cyberpunk 2077 for current-gen consoles has been in the works for months, but no release date has been revealed, much to the chagrin of gamers.
On Monday, CD Projekt RED revealed it would be hosting a Cyberpunk 2077-focused stream the following day, with little additional information available. Immediately, speculation within the community grew, with many claiming that the stream would finally share details about the Cyberpunk 2077 update for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5. Reported leaks from Microsoft Store and Xbox Series X consoles | S seem to confirm these rumors.
As revealed by Tom Warren on Twitter, some Xbox Series X | S now see Cyberpunk 2077 listed as “Optimized” for current-gen consoles, despite no new title update and no changes seen. This, combined with CDPR’s not-so-subtle response, indicates that Cyberpunk 2077’s long-awaited current-gen update is not only ready to be showcased by CD Projekt RED, but may in fact be just around the corner from release. .
Of course, this is all conjecture until CD Projekt RED confirms (or doesn’t confirm) the news during tomorrow’s stream. It’s worth mentioning that we here at Windows Central were unable to see the Cyberpunk 2077 “Xbox Series X|S Optimized” tag, either on Xbox Series X|S or online. Anyway, we don’t have long to wait. CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 stream airs Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 4:00 PM CET and can be found at Tic.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a complicated game with a convoluted past, but may still be one of the best Xbox games for fans of epic RPGs playing on Xbox Series X|S or PC. With a potential current-gen upgrade in the near future, Cyberpunk 2077 could get even better.
