Apple said to observe grocery delivery for Apple Pay

Apple could see new updates to Apple Fitness+ and Apple Pay, and the company is also considering a nutrition-focused grocery ordering service, according to a report on Sunday (May 8) from Apple Insider.

Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg reporter who often writes about Apple products, said in his “Power On” newsletter that the company may also offer an iPhone hardware subscription and buy now, pay later (BNPL) financing program for Apple. Pay.

These things could help put iPhone purchases on a par with paying for other Apple subscriptions. The report says hardware subscriptions could be expected later this year, though they could be pushed back to 2023.

Plus, another way Apple is getting ahead is by becoming an Instacart rival with a new grocery delivery service. The Apple version may come with a nutrition tracking element not seen in other versions, which might be able to integrate with the Health app and add nutrition data directly.

Apple may also be considering adding more Apple Fitness+ workout types, although the report notes there’s no indication of what those might be at this time.
