A certain amount of compatibility checking is essential, but it saves me a LOT of headache when sourcing & installing software on my MacBook Air (2011 model) running OSX 10.10.5

I’ve just finished installing iLife ’09 no problems from a legitimate (Apple origin) DMG that was archived on MR. There’s other versions available if you want a different dot point value, but the most recent seems to be ’11 from Archive.org

Between both sites you should have access to most things you want or need.

years old, but it’s crazy that you can’t record in track view by default or without a faff. You have to use a multichannel input, and you select multitrack recording from settings and then you have to record on 2 tracks at the same time, using 2 different channels. That works – but it should have to have a workaround, it should be standard – I think it’s a bug a the multitrack recording setting suggests being about to record multitrack even if your input isn’t multitrack
